    Tips for Success in Hackathon Registrations

    Welcome to dotSlash 5.0, Aatmatrisha's flagship hackathon! To ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all participants, it's important to familiarize yourself with the rules and guidelines of the event. Here's an overview of the key rules you need to know:

    Hackathons are exciting events that bring together talented individuals to collaborate, innovate, and create amazing projects. However, before you can showcase your skills and creativity, you'll often need to navigate the registration process, which typically involves filling out various forms. Here are some tips to help you master form filling and ensure a smooth registration experience:

    General Rules

    • Make sure your team name is unique.
    • A member can register only once. When the team drops itself then it's member(s) will not be allowed to join any other team.
    • Please remember your password as the status for the team selection will be updated on the website.
    • The description field should contain:
      • Problem statement that you wish to tackle.
      • Explanation of how your problem statement is relevant to the track.
      • How you are planning to tackle the problem statement.
      • What tech stack you will be using.
      • A general idea of the workflow you wish to follow through the hackathon
    • Please split your description field into these headings and describe the points mentioned above:
      • Problem statement
      • Solution
      • Tech stack
      • Workflow.
    • The description should be written using markdown.
    • If you are not aware of markdown syntax, here is a quick video on how to write markdown files.
    • Status and their meaning:
      • Pending :The team's submission is still in review.
      • Selected :The team's submission has been selected for the hackathon.
      • Banned :The team has been banned because because of involvement in malicious activities.
      • Eliminated :The team's submission has been rejected.
      • Dropped :The team themselves have dropped out of the hackathon.
      • Waitlisted :The team's submission has been put to hold i.e. there is a chance that the team can be selected. Unless the dotSlash team gives them a call it is still treated as eliminated.
    • There is also an option to drop from the hackathon if you wish to do so.
    • Once you are done registering your team, you will be asked to register the members.
    • The team size should be 3-4 members.
    • The team will not be considered for the hackathon unless there are a minimum of 3 members in the team.
    • Once you are registered keep an eye out for the dashboard after the login.
    • The status for the team will be updated on the website.
    • A member can register only once. When the team is dropped that member(s) will not be allowed to join any other team.
